Since I was young Lebron James was always my favorite player in the league, and last season he transfered to LA Lakers, but the performance was pretty bad, they didn't even get into the playoffs. But 2019 there is a huge change for the LA Lakers.
It’s clear that the lineup listed above is much better than last year’s rendition of the Lakers. It’s so good in fact, that many people around the association have predicted that the Lakers will be at least a top-four seed in the incredibly deep western conference.
All of that waiting ended up paying off as the Los Angeles Lakers traded for star big man Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. Now, the front office has the superstar duo that has been promised and Davis has a chance to contend for a title.
It was pretty clear earlier throughout the year that Davis was going to be a Laker. The way in which he and Rich Paul orchestrated the trade request made it very obvious that he wanted to be a Laker and would not sign an extension elsewhere.
That forced him to LA, where he likely will sign an extension to not only contend alongside LeBron, but also take up being the face of the franchise as LeBron gets up there in age.

Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart were all part of the trade to land Davis. Reggie Bullock, Tyson Chandler and Moritz Wagner are the most notable losses outside of the Davis trade, albeit the Lakers did part ways with more players than just that. The only returning players from last year’s team are LeBron James, Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo, Alex Caruso (who only played at the end of the season and JaVale McGee. That might seem like a lot, but over half of the roster are new players.

Davis and LeBron James are one of the top pairings in the NBA. However, it will take more than just those two to get the job done. Rob Pelinka did an excellent job filling out the roster, and one of those players the team will be relying upon is DeMarcus Cousins.
Cousins has battled injuries the last two seasons, as he tore his Achilles with the New Orleans Pelicans and tore his quad with the Golden State Warriors during the 2019 NBA Playoffs. As a result, the market for Cousins was ice cold and the Lakers took full advantage.
The Lakers and Cousins agreed to a one-year deal for $3.5 million dollars. One reason Cousins committed to the Lakers was their acquisition of Davis, as the two are great friends and close. In my own opinion this year Lakers will definitely get into the playoffs. Now days, most of the NBA team put the offensive responsibility on shooting, for example Golden States Warriors is a great example, every player on the court can all shoot three, but Lakers were different they put their offensive responsibililty free throw lane, I'm am really exciting to watch them play.
